The Fractured Friendship

On their 16th birthdays, best friends Aria and Liam each received mysterious letters. Aria's promised her the power to heal, while Liam's spoke of conflict.

Their bond, once unbreakable, cracked under the strain of their gifts.

One evening, Liam rushed into Aria’s house, his face pale.

“Aria, I hurt someone,” he said, trembling.

Aria saw their rival, unconscious and bleeding. “I don’t know if I can…”

“You must!” Liam pleaded.

With shaking hands, Aria touched the wound. Light flowed, sealing the injury. The rival stirred, alive.

“We can't keep living like this,” Aria whispered, tears in her eyes.

Liam nodded. Despite their fractured bond, hope sparked anew.

PS: I am participating in the #30days30stories challenge and today is Day 27. This amazing challenge is being hosted by Dagny and Nirja.
