Run or...
Run or...
Alex’s heart was pounding as she read the message: “Run.”
She was at her desk, the hum of the office a distant drone. Her brother, Michael, had vanished a year ago, and now this.
Ignoring the stares, she bolted from her chair. Thoughts raced through her mind: Why now? Was he alive?
She sprinted down the hallway, burst through the emergency exit, and into the street.
Her phone buzzed again. “Too late.” Panic begun to seize her as a van screeched to a halt beside her.
The door flung open, and a masked figure leaped out.
She realized too late—the hunter had become the prey.
PS: I am participating in the #30days30stories challenge and today is Day 24. This amazing challenge is being hosted by Dagny and Nirja.
