In Due Time
"Die! Die! Die already, I ain't got all day!" He snarled, his voice cracking with frustration. He stomped his foot, the earth trembling beneath him.
She merely smiled. "My dear friend," she chuckled, "you cannot rush the river. It flows at its own pace."
He fumed, his face reddening. "But I need it NOW! I need it to be over, to be done, to be finished!"
Time laid a calming hand on his shoulder. "All in due time," she whispered, "all in due time."
Patience, defeated, slumped to the ground, the very embodiment of frustrated waiting.
PS: I am participating in the #30days30stories challenge. Fingers crossed I keep at it! This challenge is being hosted by Dagny and Nirja.
