Pages Of The Past
Hidden in the old clock tower, Ava turned the dusty pages of her journal.
"Today, I remembered my mother’s smile," she read aloud, her voice trembling.
Footsteps echoed below.
“Ava! They’re coming!” whispered Leo, bursting in.
“I need to save these memories, Leo. It’s all we have left,” Ava replied, her eyes desperate.
A shout from below: “Find the girl! Destroy the journal!”
Ava’s heart pounded. “I won’t let them take this from us.”
Leo grabbed her hand. “We’ll protect it together.”
The door crashed open.
Ava held the journal tight. “For our past. For our future.”
